Djibouti, Malta and South Korea are your unexpected must-visit locations for 2018
In its annual “Best in Travel” countries roundup, Lonely Planet selected Chile as the top world destination you should visit in 2018. The travel guide company also named Canberra as the third must-see city in the world after Detroit, USA in second, and Seville, Spain in first place. Lonely Planet’s picks are based on recommendations from travellers that are culled by an in-house panel of experts who look for “topicality, novelty and wow-factor” among places to go.

The 13th annual Best in Travel lists from the travel guide publisher also included the 10 best cities to visit in 2018. Seville, Spain topped their list of destination cities, thanks in part to the prominent role this ancient coastal metropolis has played in Game of Thrones.
