RUBYCONF AU is returning to Sydney in March for the biggest, most exciting Ruby Conference ever and we want one keen-as-mustard lady to attend, on us!
Every conference starts with great content, and RubyConf 2018 is no exception. Whether you’re looking to learn more about the vast world of Ruby on the Rails, or looking for tips and tricks on how to make Ruby work better for you, you will not be disappointed! A stack of amazing speakers from the likes of Netflix, Heroku and Mario Kart will follow much anticipated keynotes by Ruby heroes Sandi Metz and Avdi Grimm.
There’ll be plenty of time for talking too, with a chock-a-block program of social activities and parties aplenty. Use these to your advantage to meet a mix of new developers, old pros, and the people who build the tools we love to use everyday. You can even say hi to our very own pack of developers including the co-organiser of Rails Girls Sydney and all-round Travel with Jane coding genius, Tracey Mu Sung. While you’re at it, you can thank her, Kath and Nadia for the great idea to give one of our spare tickets away to the Travel with Jane community.
Along with supporting women with our world-first gender pay gap discount, we’re also big on seeing more wins for women in STEM in 2018! So together with sponsoring the travel insurance for an amazing expedition of all-female Australian STEM stars to Antartica in February, we can’t think of a better way to kick off the year than by giving away a ticket to one of the world’s best – and most welcoming – coding events, RUBYCONF 2018.
So, wanna come along? Tell us in 25 words or less what attending the 2018 Rubyconf would mean to you and you could soon be on your way. Competition closes 6 February 11:59 AEST. Winners will be announced by email on February. Good luck
